National Youth Service Corps members (Batch 20A) can now apply to access the N16Million Farmers for the Future grant, to accelerate their Agri businesses. Winners of this grant would also gain access to mentorship and support from top professionals in the Agri business industry.
The F4F grant is an initiative developed and sponsored by the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) in partnership with NYSC and implemented by SAEDConnect, under the Wealth is Here Campaign.
F4F cohort 2 is targeted at Batch 20A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members – as part of BATNF’s drive to encourage and support the youth in sustainable agriculture.
Applications for the grant are open and would last from the 26th of February to the 12th of March 2021. The online application portal is available for all Batch 20 A corp members to send in their ideas for viable Agri Businesses. Click here to register.
The top 20 business ideas will be selected from the applications to go through a rigorous virtual bootcamp where they will refine their business thesis and build a compelling pitch.
The top 10 businesses from the bootcamp will pitch their Agri business ideas before a panel of expert judges and investors who will select the 3 winners.
In this second installment of the grant, participants have the opportunity to win from a total of 16 million Naira in cash and business support.
The winners will also enjoy awesome benefits which includes: linkage to financial institutions and investors for follow-on financing and/or credit facilities, technical support to establish their agribusiness and participation in an intensive “Think-through-your-business” boot camp,.
Other benefits include mentorship under seasoned entrepreneurs and Agric Experts, membership of the F4F alumni network, participation in other partner-drive training programs and support with business registration & other legal & regulatory requirements.
